IF YOU are in the market for a quality pre-owned Mercedes-Benz, then your first stop should be the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre by Hap Seng Star Kinrara in Bandara Kinrara Industrial Park. Located just two lots from the Hap Seng Star Kinrara Autohaus and a lot from the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia headquarters, this is the largest Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre in the country.
This is Hap Seng Star’s second such centre with the first one being part of its Balakong Mercedes-Benz Autohaus, which was established in 2016. However, this latest premises is a standalone pre-owned centre that saw an investment of RM41.6 million and could easily house more than a 100 pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Manned by 24 personnel to deliver a one-stop solution in sales and financial services, the facility is equipped like a new Mercedes-Benz showroom with a lifestyle café, children’s play area and Mercedes-Benz lifestyle products to be purchased. Hap Seng Star’s Chief Executive Harald Behrend said this dedicated facility could deliver to customers the same driving experience as owners of a new Mercedes-Benz.
The Mercedes-Benz Certified label is a rebranded move by the German carmaker to flow in line with the global transition of what used to be known as the Proven Exclusivity Brand. Mercedes-Benz Certified is now seen as the strategic certified pre-owned label that represents the highest quality in used cars carrying the three-point star badge.
Mercedes-Benz President and CEO Dr Claus Weidner explains: “To us, automotive excellence goes beyond the vehicles. It includes the entire customer experience. In this dedicated facility for Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles, our customers could count on our nine customer promises that cater to their needs and affordability.”
Vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme are sourced exclusively from authorised Mercedes-Benz Malaysia dealers; the vehicles must not be older than six years and clock a mileage less than 120,000km. There must also be no identifiable damage on the vehicles. In addition, the vehicles must be fully serviced and maintained by authorised
Mercedes-Benz service centres with only original parts used.
To maintain the highest standards and quality, each vehicle undergoes a rigorous 215 multi-point inspection by certified technicians before being given the Mercedes-Benz Certified stamp of approval. This thorough inspection includes visual checks, engine components and electrical systems to chassis and body as well as ‘extensive’ road tests.
Prior to purchasing a Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle, customers have the option to a test drive of the desired vehicle or vehicles to establish their preference. They are also given the option to trade in their existing vehicle when buying the Mercedes-Benz Certified car. The vehicle is also covered by a 12-month warranty with unlimited mileage above the remaining manufacturer warranty.
Vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme also come with finance and insurance services. In conjunction with the launch of this new Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre, Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia and Hap Seng Star officially introduced the Young Star Agility Financing. This offers customers a chance to own a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle in ‘impeccable condition’ at an attractive and market price.
Customers are also assured flexible and affordable service contracts for the service and maintenance package of their Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles. Lastly, the 24-hour road assistance is also applicable to all Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle owners in an emergency breakdown.
To commemorate the operation of the new facility, Hap Seng Star is holding the Hap Seng Star Mercedes-Benz Certified Carnival on the weekends of 6th to 14th October. Besides that, there is also the Hap Seng Star Mercedes-Benz Certified sales campaign in which those who make a booking until 30th November stood to win a premier massage chair and other prizes.
